What's up with Georgia and Russia?

So it’s like this, this conflict between Georgia and Russia has been brewing for quite some time. All of a sudden, when Obama is on vacation (what are the odds?), when the conventions are just a few weeks away and when the biggest, most historic Presidential race is underway, Russia attacks Georgia, lots of people die, It’s all very sad :( While Obama took a smaller scale approached and urged Russia and Georgia to "show restraint and to avoid an escalation to full-scale war," McCain took this opportunity to sound off his pseudo executive orders to Russian President Dimitri Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, stating that their actions will have "severe, long-term negative consequences". Leslie Sanchez, GOP strategist and CNN commentator states that McCain is doing a great job at responding to this conflict, he "conveyed strength and determination." Oh really? On what grounds? Because he is a POW? What does McCain plan on doing? Get us into a war with Russia? Is it odd to think that we can get into another war with Russia? Is there a revival of the Soviet Union we should fear? Is anyone other than McCain even old enough to remember the Soviet Union? Apparently, Indiana Jones fought the Reds in his new movie about aliens in Mexico. Hmmm. Besides, can't Russia and Georgia settle their own conflicts? Enough of the questions, let's be real, how does this affect me? or in this case, YOU? If we go to war with this part of the world, the war will most likely take place in the Black Sea, which means, if you just joined the Navy thinking you won’t go into Iraq because you’re on a boat, think again. This will be an Air and Sea fight. Remember that game, where you would shout, "You Sank My Battleship!" Well, like that. And hey! Wasn't McCain in the Navy? How interesting! and hey! what's the "Black Sea Synergy" plan? Why, it’s a big oil pipeline which will be complete in 2012! NOO! Don't tell me this is about oil! Not again! wha, wha whaaaaa! Seriously, is it shameful that it takes an international conflict and the death of so many people to make McCain sound like a determined and strong candidate? Does America need to be protected from Russia? Should a potential future President like McCain ignore Russia's warnings to not get in the mix? Should he be so eager to threaten consequences? It makes me very uneasy to know McCain is so willing to put our military in another conflict, when the men and women who do so much already, are already pretty drained from the already exhausted 5 year war in Iraq. The question is, should we help people in other countries that are being victimized and bombed even if that means engaging in another war that may take years to end? Or should we maintain our focus on Iraq and allow Georgia and Russia to settle their own problems? hmmm, you seem very informed. and you are right. the fighting would take place in the black sea. the timing is not suspect at all. a move had to be made before the election. gwb is worried that obama will take office and then the whole middle east shakedown will implode on him...why should we worry? because we have condeleeza on the job...an expert on foreign relations with russie no less...okay then. additionally, we have insane mccain who can f*@k shit up faster than the average presidential f*@k up!! the reality is, we are in terrible hands with this current admin and it's possible succesor...it also a reality that this admin has been instigating this event for some time. i also would like to point out that right now in the gulf we have several full fleets afloat just finishing up "operation brimstone" which was a practice blockade of iran in the gulf. coincidence? not! it is the largest armada (international) ever assembled...we are gearing up for war with iran before gwb leaves office. u sunk my battleship is right...and again, not for love of country or freedom, or democracy- for oil! sigh...
