Overcoming the fear of forever is not an easy task.  I should know.  I've knowingly invested time and energy in noncommital relationships with commitment phobes to avoid forever.  Is that logical? Ofcourse!  Atleast it was in my eyes. During my forever fearing days and nights, I believed being in a dead-end relationship was safe.  If I'm with someone who doesn't want a relationship, then I'll be safe from the dreaded L word and F word, I strategized. My plan was full proof. Warped, but full proof. Obviously, this self-invented, self-protecting tactic only hurt me in the end. I was left lonely and yearning for more intimacy, more love, forever.  So no matter how intimidating or threatening forever may be, fear not.    Because hiding under the covers forever will only lead to one destination: shivering, alone.
