We all know about Ray Guns, futuristic weaponry that shoots beams of light, or radio waves, or radioactivity or whatever other worldly ray that can potentially kill. Yea they’ve always been objects of infatuation especially among us Sci-Fi geeks. But apparently the US government has a couple Trekkies working in their military. What you have below is a snippet of an article regarding our military's latest toy. A huge truck mounted Heat Ray Gun.

"come again?"

Yes, Ray Gun and believe me it only gets better (Sans Jay). This sucker shoots an invisible ray that the human body registers as heat, so much so that it prevents a sane human being from encroaching on the ray purveyor. So this reporter, David Martin attempts to show his masculinity through a few endurance tests for the adoring public, and suffice to say, hilarity will ensue.

This is slightly off tangent, but very necessary we gotta look at exactly what’s candidly going on, because, although they never mentioned, we all can be sure of a few empirical statements. 1. There is no way the government is going to broadcast any seriously devastating weaponry to its enemies i.e. terrorists that have the same access to cable television as the rest of us heathens in the US and can just as easily flip the channel to 60 minutes. 2. You can be sure that this ray gun is most likely 5 or more years old, so imagine what this weapon could possibly do with 5 years of research and design behind it. 3. We can all be sure that David Martin has the testicular fortitude of Celine Dion.
