Below is a list of artists committed to speaking out. Hopefully you'll enjoy their work as much as I have.
Sister Corita Kent (1918-1986)
Sister Corita was an unconventional pop-artist from the 1960's who's work was authentic, thought-provoking, and sometimes radical. Here's some of my favorites:
John Lennon and Yoko Ono

Charles Guablitz
Charles Guabiltz is an artist who questions the system, fights for the environment, and provokes his audience to "close the circle" of his message. His work is dark, episodic and captivating. Check it out.

Steven Sagmeister
During Steven Sagmeister hiatus from his design studio, him and Ben Cohen (of Ben & Jerry's) began lobbying for the redistribution of military spending. Below are some of brillant pieces he put together for the campaign.
Bansky in Disneyland
Thought I'd end this with an all-time favorite.
