So have you been to the movies lately?

So I just wanted to share my total disapointment with a highly anticipated movie I was dying to see.

I don't know if any of you are like me....but I grew up loving Indiana Jones!!! I remember as a kid during the summer time we got to watch a lot of movies on our new "Laser Disk" player.( It was so old school....it was the size of a record ...but it was like a DVD that you had to turn over in the middle of the movie.)

But my brothers and I chipped in to buy the first 2 Indy movies. I know those films like the back of my hand. The first Indy movie is my fav. Who can resist Harrison Ford in that role...come on first a great role as Han Solo.... then Indiana Jones. So Dreamy!!!

So when I heard that they would by making a 4th film i almost blew a fuse. I read plenty of articles about the film before it's release. Articles that had both positive and negative reviews / but there was no way I was going to miss this film.....well I'll tell you I kind of wish I had missed it!!!

This film was so over the top, and both Steven Spielberg and George Lucus really dropped the ball big time with this film. If you as me...they totally asked the viewers to swallow too much nonsense. Yes I know that Indy is a film that you have to be able to let a lot of thngs slide, however in the earlier films it was easier to do because the movies were actually good.

These 2 filmakers totaly insulted the audience with the story...the gags (Prarie dogs-monkeys-aliens-nuclear explosions-sword fights on the back of a jeep- and surviving not 1 but 3 falls from gigantic waterfalls- to name very few of the problems)

It was sad to see what happened to my beloved Indy....instead of being the ultimate adventure/action hero, he looked old and a ghost of what that character once represented. Yes, I know the charcter is getting old but let the guy go out with a bang.....not in a movie that is "Indiana -meets-America graffiti-meets close incounters of the 3rd knd"

Boooo on this movie and booo on Spielberg and Lucas!!!!!!!
