So I'm not sure if I've mentioned it ...but I teach Art classes part time. Yes as a struggling artist I have to make sure that I have a steady income coming in at all times.

So I teach an art class to kids grades 4-8. This year I also added one High School art class. Teaching art to kids has been challenging and inspiring all at once. It is amazing to see the kids that have such a God given talent.

They are super funny....and it's funny, they come to me for instruction and help, and half the time I'm looking at some of their work and thinking "Gosh, if only I could think that way again". As kids they have such a pure and innocent way of drawing. And the way they color the characters or projects they come up with is amazing. As an adult it's sometimes hard to think that way. So a lot of the time when I see something that a kid has done ...it can really inspire what projects I'm currently working on.

I have posted 2 little sketches that some of my students have done. The project was to come up with either a character or landscape and color it in a monchromatic fashion (Meaning coloring your project in one color, however you can use different tones of that one color) Hope you enjoy!
