So I'm officially turning into an old lady and getting talked into doing crazy stuff like play Bingo at the local church hall. Okay, not exactly, but what had happened was every year the Mary Star Catholic church by my boo's pad has a fiesta/carnival with rides and food and I'm a sucker for both so we cruise through and walk by the Bingo room.

Cute Filipina and Latina nuns mix with older folks and both are playing intensely. Sensing our curiosity, the bingo facilitator flags Rolando and I over to join them. I'm a firm believer in beginner's luck, so was down. Plus, I needed some extra cash to support my sweet tooth. My intuition proved right and I won $15 on our second play.

The next day, my sister and I roll through Latina magazine's Starbucks-sponsored event where Prima J performed to an intimate crowd consisting mostly of family, friends, and a few invitees. They raffled off an iPod nano and I had another deep feeling that one of us was going to win. Sure enough, as my sister was walking out of the bathroom, they call her name.

Since I forgot to top off my weekend with a Lotto ticket, I'm entering as many contests as I possibly can while my luck's in full bloom. This is one of 'em. I'm trying to win a Mad Decent Prize Pack www.maddecent.com/blog/2008/07/15/653 that includes:

by posting this mix here. Why? Because 1) I just busted out my old-school Fisher Price record player that still plays vinyl perfectly and 2) I'm pretty much obsessed with Santogold right now so anything she's on I want.
