CHAPPELLE RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL.

This past weekend comedian Dave Chappelle made a visit to the hospital. Although some speculated of the Chappelle’s rumored drug use, TMZ reported that Chappelle went to the emergency room for physical exhaustion and was treated with "food, water and sleep" for about 12 hours and then went home.

It seems that Ja Rule is trying to come back hard after 50 put a hold on his career. He’s getting ready to hit the streets with his seventh album, The Mirror on September 25th. The album’s lead single hit the radio earlier this week and they just finished shooting the video for the song as well. The track is called “Uh Ohhh” featuring Lil' Wayne. The Game is also slated to appear on the new offering, which will come out under Rule’s new album Mpire, The Inc. and Universal Motown.

WANT TO BE DIDDY’S ASSISTANT?

Diddy is seeking a new personal assistant, and rather than boring interviews, the rapper is asking applicants to submit a three-minute video on why they would be good at the job. In a clip on his MySpace page, Diddy reveals that he may scream at his personal assistant, or keep them up late, but adds, “You know I’m the best and I like working with the best.” While only a couple dozen videos applications have been posted on YouTube so far, Diddy is confident with his methods explaining, “It’s a new age, a new time, a new era. Forget coming into the office and having a meeting with me and b eing nervous.”

T.I.'s new album, T.I. vs. T.I.P., is on target to be the highest selling rap album of the year. His last album, King, was the most successful hip-hop album of last year. According to HitsDailyDouble.com, the new effort is projected to scan around 500 thousand copies by next week to grab the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

Rapper Lil Wayne is taking a novel approach to doing a reality series - he’s taking the tried-and-true talent show idea online. His new cyber-series Making the Next Hit! With Lil Wayne will air on the web channel, theNext.TV, beginning in January. Billboard.com reports that the show, which aspires to find talented producers, comedians, singers, models and rappers, will be hosted by MC Busy Bee and Pit, producer of The Shop Boyz’ hit “Party Like a Rockstar.” Auditions for the 27-episode series are slated to begin August 12th in Philadelphia. The winner will have a chance of being signed by Cash Money Records, which will have the right of first refusal in signing the chosen act.
