Though the subject of this post isn't fashion I thought it was interesting and that I should share it with you guys. Hey it's my blog! I'm a card playing fan so this story was definitely of interest and a friend of mine's marketing company is handling the promotion so here it goes.

Luke Walton and Lamar Odom are heading an NBA star studded card tournament in September. The card game of choice: Bourre. Huh? Yeah I've never heard of it either but its all the craze within the NBA ranks. The game is similar to Spades and euchre was brought to the states by French Canadians who settled in Louisiana. It is said to be a very entertaining game to play and watch so I look forward to seing what all the hype is about. The tournament will be high stakes with a potion of the proceeds going to charity. Gambling is big within the NBA and most sports so this seems like a good way to fill that need and give back. The tournament will air nationally in September, well after the NBA season and the Olympics so keep a look out.
