Call me crazy but when I think of a fashion icon, I think of someone who doesn't follow trends, but rather follows her own style and reflects his/her unique identity through their outer appearance. Someone who represents this to me was Frida Kahlo..
Frida was a very rebellious person who expressed all her emotions through her art. Her style of dress was just as dramatic as her paintings. Her native style fit her so well. Her braided hair was always adorned with large flower pieces. Her gowns were always very colorful and her jewelry very eccentric.Â

I've always admired Frida on so many levels, and her fashion sense was just one small part of her amazing being.
ps..my eyebrows can get very "frida-ish" at times..I embrace it.
