Today was a beutiful day to be out, around 85 degrees, not a cloud in the sky, and there was no better place to be than at UCLA for their jazz/reggae festival. It lasted from noon til the sun came down. walked around, brought some fresh new shades,
007'd my way backstage, ate some really good jerk chicken & grilled corn on the cob, took a nap in the sun. There was no alcohol being sold... but after helping kill 48 coronas with co-workers the day before, I was not too bummed out about it. The performances were tight! I really liked J-Davey's set, you have to check them out...Les Nubians, Soulive, Lupe Fiasco, Jill Scott...they were all dope! And if your saying to yourself " I wish I knew about it?"....you should have read an earlier blog I wrote shedding light on the whole event! But not to worry! they are having day two tomorrow with some really good reggae acts.
